Soul to Soles Connections attends community events to build collaborative relationships and to increase awareness around military mental health. This also provides opportunities to fundraise for our mission. Please join us at our next event!
“Stand Together” Vet to Vet Peer Support Group is held every Monday from 10:00–11:00 at the private ranch of Soul to Soles Connection. Connect with fellow veterans, stand with horses, and support each other. Register at www.s2sconnection.org
“Women’s Coffee & Conversations” Hosted by: Veteran’s Bridge Home is held on the 2nd Monday of every month from 9:00-10:00 at Humana Winston-Salem Neighborhood Center (1045 Hanes Mall Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC)
Veterans Coffee Hosted by: Veteran’s Bridge Home is held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 9:00-11:00 at Richard Childress Racing (425 Industrial Dr building # 468, Welcome, NC).
Richards Coffee Shop and Military Museum is open Monday – Saturday from 8:00-1:00. Tour the museum, enjoy breakfast and lunch, and hear the stories of local veterans. They offer Free coffee for Veterans on Thursday and have live music on Saturdays. Announcements and a 50/50 Raffle at 10:30. All are welcome to attend! (165 N. Main St. Mooresville, NC).
SHR & HMS Veterans Coffee are on the 4th Thursday of every month from 9:00-11:00. Join Veterans and Veteran supporters for Coffee, Donuts, Conversation, and information about benefits you earned while serving our country. There will also be updates on activities for Veterans and their family members.

September 9th – Vet Xpo, Richard’s Coffee Shop, 10-3 – A veterans’ resource fair, hosted by Operation Decisive Victory (ODV), provides VA benefits, caregiver support, housing assistance, healthcare & mental health resources, legal services, haircuts and more. ODV’s mission is to help local veterans achieve the small but strategic victories they need to progress. Open to all veterans and the public. Free food, parking, and resources.
September 11th – 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, Downtown Mooresville, 9am – The Exchange Club of Mooresville / LKN is hosting their annual 9/11 Ceremony to remember those lost in the attacks of September 11, 2001. It is on Monday, September 11th at 9am. We will start at Richard’s Coffee Shop and silently walking to Liberty Park’s Veterans’ Promenade for a brief memorial. Everyone is invited to join for the walk, ceremony, and comradery afterwards at Richards Coffee Shop.
September 11th – RED Day Resource Fair, Mooresville & Cornelius Habitat for Humanities ReStores, 12-4 – Habitat Charlotte Region is honoring and commemorating Veterans, active-duty military personnel and all first responders at popup events in Mooresville, Cornelius, and Charlotte.
September 16th & 17th – Tee Off for a Veteran Golf Tournament, Warrior Golf Club, China Grove, – The 14th annual Tee Off for a Veterans Golf Tournament is a patriotic fundraising event held over 2 days. There are separate competitions each day, 300 golfers and sells out every year. Soul to Soles Connection is honor to receive a generous portion of the money raised at this event.
September 29th – Battle of the Badges Blood Drive – In partnership with the Red Cross, the Exchange Club of Mooresville / LKN is hosting a blood drive to see what first responders have more supporters! We will have a donation station at the Mooresville Police Department from 12-5. We will also have a team at the Mooresville Fire Station. Donors will vote for their favorite heroes and save lives! October 7th – Out of the Darkness Suicide Walk, Statesville High School, 7-11am – This walk to held by the local chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). All money raised during this event stays locally and helps educate and prevent suicide. There are resources, vendors, and a special area for veterans’ resources. Click Here to Register Today! November 6th – POW/MIA Walk, Richard’s Coffee Shop, 9am – Everyone is invited to walk silently as a group from Richard’s Coffee Shop to Mooresville Town Hall, where the American and POW/MIA Flag will be raised. (Free Public Event)
* November 7th – Flag Retirement Ceremony, American Legion in Troutman, 2pm – The American Legion Post 401 is hosting a Flag Retirement Ceremony. The American flag should be retired and destroyed when it is no longer fitting to be displayed. We will have a brief ceremony and burn the flags that we have collected. Everyone is invited to join us for the ceremony, and/or drop off flags. (Free Public Event)
* November 7th – Military Body Art Talk, Richard’s Coffee Shop, 6pm – In partnership with the Mooresville Library the Military Body Art Talk will allow people to share about their military tattoos and listen to the stories of others. All are welcome to attend. (Free Public Event)
* November 9th – Red Cross Bus Blood Drive, Richard’s Coffee Shop, 9am-1:30pm. In partnership with the Red Cross, there will be the Red Cross bus parked on Main Street in Mooresville for those who wish to donate blood. * November 11th – “One Nation Under God” Veterans’ Luncheon, behind Richard’s Coffee Shop, Downtown Mooresville, 11-1 – The Exchange Club of Mooresville/ LKN is hosting their annual ONUG Luncheon, which provides free BBQ lunches to all veterans and a family member. There will be tables and chairs set up outside and inside, live music, and gift bags. * November 11th – Veterans’ Day Parade, Downtown Mooresville, 1:30 – Find your seat along Main St. in Downtown Mooresville for the annual Veterans’ Day Parade! This year will be bigger and better then ever as we celebration Mooresville’s 150th birthday! There will be bands, trucks, horses, and even a helicopter! (Free Public Event)
* November 18th – Camo Up Family 5K Run/Walk, Richard’s Coffee Shop, Downtown Mooresville, 8-12 – Participants of all ages are invited to run/walk a 5k route around Downtown Mooresville. Each person will receive an event t-shirt and event dog
We are recruiting Veterans and Service Members to participate in an equine mental health intervention aimed at treating trauma and the impacts of military service. There is no cost to U.S. Veterans and Service Members.
